A Kindle version of Fated-Book One in the New Era Series- went on sale on 12-29-12. Look for the Kindle version of Guardian- Book Two in the New Era Series- to go on sale soon.

New facebook page and a contest

I've started a new facebook page because the old one did not have a like button. I am now in the process of trying to build it up. To this end, I am having a contest where the a winner will be picked at random from the first 100 people to "like" the page. The winner will receive an honorable mention in the acknowledgements section of the next installment in the series. To add a bit of spice, the person to refer the most people to "like" the page will also get to see their name in print. Start referring people right away and it could be your name that appears in the next book!

Book Launch

Had a great time at the book launch/ Flaire Fall open house on September 27th. Many thanks to all those souls who braved the rain to come and get their copy of Guardian. Nearly all of the copies I had on hand walked out the door that night. Now how great is that?

Don't worry if you weren't able to get one that night because I will also have a limited number of them available at my next book signing on October 15, 2012 at the Dover Public Library also. Come and see me there at 7pm that night.

The wait is almost over!

After months of waiting and wondering I can now officially say that Book 2 in the New Era Series- Guardian- will likely come out in the Fall! Are you as excited as I am?!

Writer's Digest Contest

I have decided to wait until next year to enter Fated into this contest.

But, I am happy to report that I have heard from several people regarding their thoughts about Fated. I had one reader tell me that she has already passed on her copy to a relative, who then passed it on to another (they were both anxious to get their hands on Guardian and were disappointed that it hadn't already been released). I also heard from a gentleman who gave Fated to his wife for her birthday. She told him that she loved it (which I love to hear!). And the final one that I heard from finished this three hundred and some page book in 3 1/2 hours because they enjoyed it so much! That certainly does make me happy to hear. This means word-of-mouth is taking hold even more, but, mostly, it means that my book is bringing enjoyment to others and that is wonderful to know.

They're going fast!

There are just a couple of books left at bfc Flaire Gift Shop, so stop in soon. I'm so grateful that this shipment went so fast. This was probably due to several of them being spoken for before the shipment had even arrived. There is new merchandise and additional seasonal items for you to see at bfc Flaire also. It is located at 255 2nd St NE, in New Philadelphia. 

I can't wait (and I know most of you who have read Fated have told me that you can't either) for you to get a chance to read book 2 in this series. Book 2- Guardian- seems to be the favorite for most of my many test readers because Brody is so likeable, romantic, and funny.

Writer's Digest self- published book contest

Writer's Digest is having a self-published book contest in which I may enter Fated. I'll keep you posted on what I decide. I will have to decide soon since the deadline is April 20th.

What a blast!

I had such a good time being the guest speaker at Tuscarawas County Writer's Guild tonight! I enjoyed it so much that I'm now looking forward to bringing my second book out so that I can repeat the experience. What a great group of people! Thanks to everyone that came!

I like it!

I found this cool series on SyFy called Face Off. In the series, they have to compete using movie magic foam and stuff to make the winning creature out of a human. I think it is really cool to see them transform a regular person into what their imaginations come up with. If you want to check it out, here is a link to their website.

Of those reordered copies, several are spoken for already (And the books haven't even arrived yet. How great is that?), so get one soon!
